The boys went to the doctor on Tuesday to get vaccinated and checked up on. We knew that Luke was gaining a little weight - he weighs 10 lbs 2oz! Andrew's up to 9 lbs 12 oz. and I have some big boys! No more newborn diapers and no more newborn clothes :(. (Anne - tell Ella that Rock and Roll are donating some diapers to Donna and company. :) ) I got the okay from the doctor to stop feeding them every 3 hours (which we were told to do because they were preemies and needed to "catch up" - well they're doing just fine now!), which was a relief to us! Now we can let them sleep and they have been sleeping from 9:00 to 2:00am every night! That's a large chunk of time and so far (well for 2 nights) they have only needed to eat once during the night. Please pray for us so this continues!!
The boys got their shots and did great - as great as a baby can do when the nurse stabs you in the leg 3 times. They slept most of Tuesday, giving me time to paint the bathroom - which looks lovely I might add!
And my headache... we are looking for daycare - yuck! I have a list of maybe 90 daycare providers in town, and I've narrowed them down to places that are on my way to work, giving me 16, which I've called and 2 have openings for 2 infants in September. Some are laughing that I'm calling so early, but others have said "if you would have called last week I would have had an opening" so laughers go ahead and laugh, then YOU try to find daycare for twins in September. Anyone have any suggestions?? We went to our first visit last night and it seemed fine. The lady was nice, her kids were nice (they are both middle school aged) and her house was clean. Adam liked her and wanted to call her today to sign up, but I think we should at least look at someone else. We're going tomorrow night to our second interview. Wish us luck! Anyone want to do daycare for 2 very cute and very nice boys?? Call me!

Two Months (yesterday)
Yesterday my boys officially turned 2 months old! I really can't belive how big they are getting. They are more awake now, which explains why I haven't had time to blog lately. They take fewer naps - and NEVER at the same time - well actually I think they took a nap together once.
Andrew continues to be calm and easy going - just like his daddy.
(Although, right now, he has started launching his pacifier out of his mouth and crying until I go put it back in...)

Luke likes the swing and as you can see by the photo below, has gained a little weight especially in the cheek area. (Good eater!)
Lucas is also so much like his mother. He LOVES to be the center of attention, and has started crying until someone comes and plays with him. Below is an example of the crying phase of his newest trick - shortly after, he will be grinning at you from ear to ear. What a faker!
Here's a picture of the two month olds!
Again, this was Dad's idea - he loves bowling and makes the boys even watch it on tv!

Here's another 2 month old picture.
It really is incredible to see how much they've grown. Go here to remind you of what they looked like 1 short month ago: http://fromtwotofour.blogspot.com/2009/01/one-month-old.html The boys have also started smiling at us, and making noises or "talking" to us. It has been so fun trying to make them smile! Here is a picture of Luke grinning for the camera. Dad was making him laugh - look at those dimples!!

And this is Andrew's smile - ok, so it's not that smiley, but this is the face he makes when he's happy! He sticks his tongue out at us. He really only smiles right when he's about to fall asleep. He doesn't think we're really that funny yet.

We also got some exciting news today! My cousin, Erica (finally!) had her baby boy! He was 1 week overdue, and she was not thrilled about that, but Grant decided to come last night! He was born at 1:03am and was 9lbs. 3oz, and 20 inches long! That's a big boy! Our boys were originally all due on the same day, mine came 2 months early, and hers was 1 week late, so the boys are almost exactly 2 months apart. Erica called this morning, and was feeling much better after getting that baby out! She thinks that Grant and Lucas can be on the football team together when they get older (the big fellas). Andrew might have to be the quarterback (that's a little guy, right?!)

Telemarketer Rant
So, I haven't written in a while, but that's mostly because my little angels are taking naps at opposite times during the day, and when they are awake they prefer to be held and walked around the house. (Plus, I prefer to hold them and walk them around the house and read books, and make faces... :) ) Bottom line: I haven't had time. No time to download pictures or write anything, but today - right now - they ARE taking a nap at the same time, although I just heard some grunting so I'm gonna make this quick. I will put pictures up soon... hopefully today.
I just wanted to complain about the stupid telemarketer lady who called looking for donations for the childhood leukemia fund. I first of all HATE telemarketing calls, especially when I can't get a word in edgewise and I feel bad just hanging up. Secondly, I don't really like donating to people who call over the phone. I'd rather do it in person, or get a mailing, or go through a company or church or something. I'm not giving my credit card number to some lady who's asking me for it on the phone. She assures me they wouldn't use the credit card for anything other than my donation, but they'll send out a card I can fill out to donate - which would be better, but I'm so angry that I got a telemarketer call in the first place that I don't really want to anymore - no matter what the cause. Which brings me to the next point: the lady proceeds to make me feel guilty for not giving the sick children what they need with a "fine, if you don't want to help, then you have a nice day." REALLY?? Rant over.

We Love Boppys
In looking at pictures, I realized that my boys spend lots of time in their boppys. They lay in them after eating - we elevate them because they have reflux. They lay in them when they want to look around. They lay in them on the floor, on the couch, on the chair, you name it! They are not supposed to sleep in them and I would NEVER allow such a thing (oops!).
Oops - Andrew sleeping in the boppy.
Look who else is sleeping in the boppy.
(No babies were harmed during this picture -
no babies are currently in the boppy.)
And you all remember this guy in the boppy.
Shaggy...
Again, not allowed in my house - :)

(Andrew was in the middle of eating during this photo op. and I had to take advantage of the fact that both of them were awake, so I took this picture and Andrew was trying to eat Lucas...again.)
